RE: airport security and wearcomps

We just had a bunch of folks fly in to show their wearables and only one
reported getting extra scrutiny at the airport. The person of middle
eastern ancestry received attention, but not one laptop or PDA from what we
heard. Security asked for laptops to be taken out of cases and put directly
on the x-ray machine belt the times I've flown since 911.

I was recently told that some airports are forbidding laptops to be carried
on the plane.
Has anyone experienced this with their laptop or wearcomp? How about PDAs?
I'm concerned about the potential harassment I may receive from airport
security when traveling with my wearcomp.
People often fear what they do not understand.
