That single floppy has all that PLUS the actual web server package (and HTML docs) too! > which means that for people like me, > with only a few bucks to spend, Storage won't be plentiful, and this can > solve that. By the way, its also free. Not quite.. I mean.. that's the "demo"... QNX is not cheap when it comes to licensing it for development work (e.g. making kiosks, wearables, etc). > If for no othe reason than curiosity, > I suggest you at least take a look at the website: www.qnx.com if you want > to try out the demo floppy (which is still version 4.?) its unnder the > products section. Yea.. my user group reviewed it back in '98 or '99.. http://xcssa.org/ It was cool then.. can't imagine what they've done with it now.. But it is currently used in several "Internet Appliances" and is choice because of it's lean, mean functionality, RT benefits, and small resource footprint. It's been used in Sony's latest internet appliance EVilla (http://www.evilla.com/html/index.html) and the recent hardware hacker magnet, the 3COM Audrey (http://www.audreyhacking.com/). (now being cleared out at tigerdirect for $89!!) Amiga almost adopted back in 98-99 it as it's underlying kernel for future development... too bad the deal fell through.
