There are a couple of us in the bay area and a couple more down in south bay. I'm fairly new to all of this but I'm happy to help where I can. As for buying stuff locally. In all my researching of wearables in the last year, I have not found any place locally I could buy wearable specific parts from - there are plenty of places to buy general computer hardware, but not twiddlers or displays. If I'm wrong, I'd be more than happy to be enlightened. Everything I have for my wearable is directly from the manufacture, EBay, or from other wear-hard folks. One thing wear-hard folks are willing to do is show off there wearables. That would be the best way to get hands on experience before purchasing. The wear-hard list archive is another great source of info. Wear-hard folks are brutally truthful when it comes to reviewing hardware. Doug Sutherland and I have toyed with the idea of getting a monthly user group together. I'm willing to help find a place to meet and organize the meetings, but I need to know what interest there is. Anyone interested in a bay area wearable user group (BAWUG)? -Freeman > -----Original Message----- > From: Won Ton Soup [mailto:] > Sent: Monday, November 05, 2001 9:49 PM > To:
