Why not use the CharmIT kit? If you bought all the components individually, it would still cost almost the same. I know, I put my own together using the same parts a year ago. It ended up costing me about $1500, but I made my own case and bought the wrist keyboard and batteries. The MopsLCD6 is a nice board, but I would advice to get it without the built in RJ45 (they had some problems with those and had to recall a large sum of those boards). The only possible soldering you may have to do is the battery for the CMOS (which I suggest doing). Subject: Re: Newbie request If you get any positive responses, please let me know! I kinda enjoy soldering a new plug to the end of the AC adaptor, or reconnecting a loose wire for the laptop drive, but I don't wanna wreck expensive stuff while I'm learning about wearcomps, either.
