I thought about putting toshset into jAugment, ...
as I hear this I think I should do that.
(...AFTER I converted all apps to accept user-defined
fonts as I had to find out I can not get a much
lower resolution in X and in 1024x768 a 10px font
is just unreadable ina viewfinder. ;) )

Maybe it's just that the power-supply is to small and you can
use a bigger one and search-and-destroy(tm) that block. But
I doubt that it can be identified on the PCB as the near-
display-PCB in all Laptops I've opened so far (quite a number)
is often difficult to get your hands on.

Try simply disabling the display (toshset is your friend, that or
closing the lid) and let it run in normal usage-pattern to find out.

No.

Not exactly. For myself I'd rather go for something
that I can put a bit more ram into...

Thanks for the info.

With uBGA I ment the micro-BGA -packed mobile-processors
from Intel. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to _upgrade_
later? I've just heard of a SBC using mobile PIII. That one
could be interesting for me... I doubt that a modern Intel
could be made into running even near 24/7... Maybe I could
do sth. like powering on the conventional Laptop from the
backpack when I need more power... and have sth. smaller
to wear... I will see.
