The 3COM Homeconnect is very, very good, in low light it can do better than an eye (and eye unadjusted to the low light, that is). But it is large, about the size of a cigarette pack. The "microcams" are all much worse, with the CCD cameras looking better than the CMOS in general, but not always. Of note are the Pixera Picolo (http://www.pixera.com/PixeraCatalog/Picolo/Picolo.htm), which is not actually a USB cam, but an NTSC cam that you could use a video to USB converter with. The Picolo is about as small as they get, but the image is nothing to write home about. The Nogatech USB Microcam (http://www.nogatech.com/files/cam.pdf) is a little larger than the Picolo, but gives a much better image, and doesn't need a video capture card. At the CarlaZone (http://www.carlazone.com), Carla has used all three cameras mentioned above. -Thomas Thomas Edwards The SyncVideo for the Net Generation http://www.thesync.com -- Subscription/unsubscription/info requests: send e-mail with subject of "subscribe", "unsubscribe", or "info" to
