the best way to reinforce the vga is not to connct to it directly.. get a

one male, one female vga connectors, raw/bare, then solder on the wires
directly about and inch or two long.. then mount the female on your case
and connect to that one.. never any stress at all on the real connector.
problem solved..

pretty easy really.
