I remember reading about Doug making his own contacts that worked well .. but were a pain to attach and reattach. I'm thinking about attaching either a 20 pin Molex or 25DB ( using 2 lines for + and - ) to connect 2 batteries to the dual charger. Then I could leave the pair of batteries in the pouch I have for the webbelt and just plug them in for charging without removing them from the pouch. I have a nice thin piece of copper that I can cut with a good pair of scissors to make contacts. I was thinking of just soldering the wires for the connector to the contacts and just duct tape them the end. Since I'm not planning on ever removing the contacts the duct tape shouldn't be an issue until the adhesive begins to fail. I was thinking of using electrical tape to prevent shorts.. but I figured the ducttape would be more reliable long term. Any insights or issues I'm overlooking would be greatly appreciated.
