I use a software-mapped Dvorak keyboard on my laptop thanks to loadkeys and xmodmap. I like it. I really really like it. The Twiddler produces scancodes for a standard QWERTY keyboard, though, which means it gets royally screwed up on a software-mapped Dvorak layout. I'm thinking of messiwng around with the alternate keymap found at http://wearables.blu.org/wear-hard-01/20011863.html once I can figure out how to get into interactive program mode. N+S RRRR (Enabling Programming Mode) is not producing any output in emacs, so I have a vague feeling that something is very wrong with the way I'm keying in N+S RRRR. My Num key works. My Shift key works. I'm lost. I hit both of them with my left hand and the four green keys with my right at the same time. Nothing happens. I switch to loadkeys us and try again. Nothing happens. I reread the manual to make sure I'm not missing something. Help! =) If I don't manage to get this to work, it looks like I'll be shifting back to QWERTY on my laptop... <pout> -- Sacha Chua <> - 4 BS CS Ateneo geekette interests: emacs, linux, wearables, teaching compsci, making games -- Subscription/unsubscription/info requests: send e-mail with subject of "subscribe", "unsubscribe", or "info" to
