converting ext3 to ext2

I FINALLY got linux on my system. I just need to do
fine tuning and cleaning. I used Red Hat 7.3 to have
current USB and ext3 support. I made one mistake.

The root partition is on a 256 compact flash card
using ext3. I certainly don't want to burn up the
compact flash with journalling. Do I just need to
change the mounting to ext2 (since journalling is the
only feature difference) - or is there more involved?

Rick
