Since list is for talking about wearable hardware issues, I'm going to start sending out all my little tricks and tips as I run into them. Most of the time it will be about CharmITs as that is what my research group uses. Today I was reminded about a potential problem using the CharmIT battery cables on non-Sony (but compatible) camcorder batteries. Given enough wear, the batteries will start having spurious connectivity. The problem is that the male banana plugs get splayed outward. Since many of the non-Sony batteries don't have a full female jack but instead have a slot for the male banana plug to fit into, it can lose connectivity. Simply bending the plugs inward with a pair of pliers solves the problem.
