Hmmm ... first of all did you follow the ground connections that I described in this post (different than advantech)? http://wearables.blu.org/wear-hard-01/20014128.html The cable length must be short, maximum 18 inches total. Longer lengths would require use of an LVDS transmitter and receiver, or something equivalent. It's really impossible to imagine what might be wrong, but it took me three or more tries at making this cable before it worked properly. Check your solder joints and make sure they are clean. I have also noticed that if the wires are not bundled close together this sometimes causes noise resulting in weird effects on the screen. -- Doug Bryan Hurley wrote: > I have the same display that Doug has attached to the 5822 and using the > same pinouts as he did, but I am getting strange results, I took a laptop > hard drive cable and cut in half then rewired in the correct hookup and > soldered the connections and wrapped them in electrical tape.. you can see > the display, but depending on how the cables are sitting it is either > perfect or halfway up the screen rolling around up the bottom or some > other strangeness, and this changes as you fiddle with how the wires sit > next to each other..
