I'm interested in finding a non-ia32 SBC for use in a wearable. My operating system of choice (NetBSD) is perfectly happy running on whatever processor I like so I don't see why I should pay more money for a slower processor that eats more power. MIPS, PowerPC, ARM/XScale, SuperH all seem fine by me. However, I haven't been able to find a a small board that does all the stuff one wants for the application (i.e. video out, IDE controller, USB, a couple of cardbus slots so I can shove in an 802.11 card, etc...) Anyone have any suggestions about manufacturers who sell what I'm looking for? -- Perry E.
