For the little I've used the Twiddler, I've been very pleased with it's use for me on the whole. I guess I just have an average size hand with piano experience(thanks mom and dad ;-) LOL). Anyway.. I definately can tell keyboard vs point and click is much better for a wearable. I know this is a higher learning curve but worth it. I have some plans for my gui. I've selected FVWM for it's configurability (although I imagine scwm may be better - I'm not that familiar with lisp or scheme). My gui set up is having the root menu and windowlist on hot keys and being able to navegate them by hot keys. The only element(s) on the screen will be the FVWMButtons for any constant info I want (clock, gps (mini)map, mp3 dockapp, crusoe performance dockapp, etc). I'll be able to use the pages/desktops (still not sure which will be better) to have a clear screen or hold my work or put up a "full size" gps map. At least that's my ideas.. I'm going to make sure I look into jAugment also.. but I'll start with FVWM for a quick and dirty setup. Anyway.. that's my ideas.. it's still in the planning so any advice.. shared experience etc.. is appreciated. .. I know people like being posted about system development. Mine is up and running.. And yes my cy-visor is not getting display data in fb mode (post that info as soon as I can) Current to do list: for system: 1) remake kernel for crusoe support and USB storage devices 2) install and configure FVWM (RedHat excluded FVWM in 8.0) for cy-visor: 1)build supporting "glasses frames" 2)modify for attaching display/optical elements Ok.. the display won't be covert.. but maybe I can make something "futuristic" looking to my wearing it won't seem too odd to LAS VEGAS police watching me drive..LOL Rick ______________________________________________________________________ Post your free ad now! http://personals.yahoo.ca -- Subscription/unsubscription/info requests: send e-mail with subject of "subscribe", "unsubscribe", or "info" toWear-Hard Mailing List Archive (searchable): http://wearables.blu.org Please, *PLEASE* don't subscribe through a forward/expander/false domain
