Greetings all, I have added the ExpressPCB file (which I didn't actually use...but should be OK) for the Kopin driver circuit at: https://securehost34.hrwebservices.net/~magefor/twiki/pub/Main/SunGlasses/mcvvq111.pcb For reference I have also added the *.bmp files I did use https://securehost34.hrwebservices.net/~magefor/twiki/pub/Main/SunGlasses/top.bmp https://securehost34.hrwebservices.net/~magefor/twiki/pub/Main/SunGlasses/bot.bmp Note also that the board in the image kill-9 put up is jumpered for PAL (not NTSC). This design could no doubt be optimised but at the time I was after simple and robust. A good addition might be a connector on the pcb for the cable to the cyberdisplay. Good luck to any following this path, Justin PS Brian is it too late to set aside say 3 of those ICs?? > > >Here is what I have on the pcb for those chips, although I didn't see any >updates on what mod to this needs to be done to support the changes to the newer >chip. >Alex > > >Quoting Brian Kuriyama <>: > >> Hi all. >> >> ok here it goes: >> >> first of all i hope this message gets through (because I don't think the >> last 3 messages I sent got through) (and if it doesn't I hope to get someone >> else to post it for me) . ok and 2nd of all... I GOT 20 FREE DRIVER >> CHIPS!!!!. this nice lady named Pamela from Motorola helped me with getting >> the chips but for about a month I was going nowhere. but today she called >> and she told me that she could get me 20 SAMPLE CHIPS!!! It may have taken a >> month, but I am extremely happy on what my results were.. Hmm what else?... >> Oh yes... >> >> Does anyone have pre-made circuit boards or layouts I could use (I know >> Technomage over there built a homemade driver board). I was planning on >> useing the PCB123 autorouting software to help me with this part (but I'm >> really, really lazy, but I really, really need to do it). Anyways I was told >> to expect the chips much later (because it's comming directly from Hong-Kong >> or something)(but still... at least I'm getting SOME chips rather than >> none), and so that leaves me with lots of time to create the boards. >> >> Again, if anyone knows of an easier and cheaper way, please feel free to >> contact me at anytime (preferrably through AIM: FunboyHI) and the same goes >> for the selling stuff part... >> >> >> Best wishes to everyone else who desires the chips, >> Your 15 year old gadget maker, >> >> Brian Kuriyama >> >> > > > > Attachment: cyberdisplay_assembled.jpgAttachment: cyberdisplay_driver.jpg> >-- >Subscription/unsubscription/info requests: send e-mail with subject of >"subscribe", "unsubscribe", or "info" to
