Hi Duncan

I actually noticed your blog about the Vidi project few days ago but you
have no wiring schematics up or any other electronics detail just the code.

I've downloaded the specs for the Kopin 320C display and included there
are timings for that specific model. They use a RGB backlight controlled
by the SPCA511A driver that has all the timings programmed in it while
the driver accepts YCbCr input.
The driver chip acts as a frame buffer too so the image is assembled in
the chip and then sent to the display (has 4MB RAM in there somewhere).

I wonder if 320M and 320C are phyiscally the same just the driver chip
and the backlight are different (it leads me to believe that when reading
the specs on Kopin's website).

I would most definetely like to connect the display to the RGB source
such as VGA which would give it far larger "audience" than a YCbCr or
Composite video (but of course option of Composite video should be there)

So, even if it needs a A/DC and a frame buffer the goal should justify
the means of getting there. Though power consumption and scale must be
major factors in building this circuit to allow for wearablility and also
availability of components (nothing exotic, it would beat the purpose)
