I realy like the covert nature of the camera. I plan to have a camera of some sort on the HMD when I build a wearable. My problem is this. I have no idea how to hook up a spy type cam to a computer. Would I need a video capture card? I was thinking of using a kensington webcam, but a webcam is going to be more bulky. By the way. whats the resulution on the display? --- Harley Grusko <> wrote: > hello wear-harders, > > i thought i would post a couple images of my > recently completed 'databank > personal viewer'. thanks to don papp and nicolas > bingham for their helpfull > advice in moving the PCB as well as clifford leong > and steve mann for the > inspiration. it was built using a sony glasstron > plm-a35 and includes a > covert micro video camera that can be seen just to > the right of the lens (on > the inside). i drilled a small hole in the sunglass > lens for the camera lens > wich is virtually undetectible upon first glance. > you'll have to trust me > when i say that they fit very comfortably on my face > with the same picture > quality as the original sony. i use the hmd for a > faux 'eyetap' condition > described by steve mann for mediated reality > experiments. > > i have lots of photos documenting many steps of the > hack which i will post > when i have some time. > good luck with all those kopin hmd's. sounds like > fun. > > http://www.members.shaw.ca/harley/hmd.htm > > harley grusko > > > -- > Subscription/unsubscription/info requests: send > e-mail with subject of > "subscribe", "unsubscribe", or "info" to >
