Hello Vito, making the AV-1 wireless is an option. Nevertheless - it is very sensitive to the timing and only accepts serial data when it indicates it with the CTS line. That caused severe problems for me when I tried to drive the AV-1 with a Bluetooth serial adapter (e.g. PICOPlug). Even though these adapters support hardware handshaking, they do it with a uController and do not exactly meet the correct timing. If you send data to the AV-1 if it's not ready to receive its screen just gets white. Apart from that - the AV-1 electronics use a standard connector and you can drive a display that is covered in e.g. sunglasses (just like those that Don Papp made). Infos on pinout .. are here http://www.iptel-now.de/HOWTO/MICROOPTICAL_AV1/microoptical_av1.html Best regards, Ralf Ackermann --------------------------------------------------------------- Dr. Ralf Ackermann _Multimedia Communications |/ | | |\/| Merckstrasse 25 |\ |_| | | 64283 Darmstadt, Germany Tel.: (+49) 6151 16-6138 Fax: (+49) 6151 16-6152 --------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.kom.tu-darmstadt.de/~rac --------------------------------------------------------------- On Sat, 11 Oct 2003, Vito Miliano wrote: > wear-hard, > > What is the resolution of the Microoptical AV-1, in characters? > 40x25?
