You're quite right; this would be overkill in terms of hardware, but we were hoping to expand the thing later. This just seemed like a good starting point. Full video capture and processing capability will hopefully come later, along with some audio storage and playback too. I just wanted so figure how to grab frames first. So would that mean my task is easier and doesn't require assembler? Please say yes....
