Frame grabbing resources? (was: Frame Grabbing)

Actually, I've had trouble finding much information or projects of 
wearables used for frame grabbing.  seen only a tiny bit using old 
webcam camera's.  But nothing serious or very usefull.

However, I agree... there has to be some information and I would much 
appreciate it and links or leeds.  Largly we'd be looking for user 
experiances with different configurations (boards, bus's, camera's) or 
any data that can help us get there.

At the moment I've largly scrapped the idea and settled instead of 
purchasing a full laptop high grade for the purpose.  But it would be 
much much more interesting to go back to trying to build it from the 
ground up.  So any info would be great.
