cheap headmount mod frame

I'm planning on hacking my i-Visor (Cy-Visor) within
the next couple weeks.. one of the goals is to make a
more compact headmount. I found a frame for $17.50 at
http://www.happyhobby.com/hobb_html/optiviso.htm .

The frame belongs to a headmount magnifier called an
OptiVisor. This particular location sells just the
frame .. and even just the adjustable headband
($9.95).

For those familiar with the hack at
http://www.pages.drexel.edu/~jed22/cyvisor/
The displays can be encased in a "box"(for lack of a
better term.. I attend to put these close to my
forehead above my eyes with a beamsplitter
immediately below.

I hope to put a fascade or housing over the 2 boxes
(still pondering the form that will take). Also I
plan on getting some tinted plastic used for
sunglasses to wrap in front of the beamsplitters -
perhaps have the plastic able to flip based for
various lighting conditions.

I'd be curious if any one has had experience with the
OptiVisor frame .. particularly of the arms of it can
be shortened by adding holes.

Rick
