To be honest the best systems out there are pretty much like the crusoe system that charmed.com has. Crusoe boards typically range 500-800 Mhz with audio and 10/100 available either built-in or as daughter cards. These systems are giving reports of 11 hours of use on a camcorder battery. We had a recent headmount break through in video too. MicroOptical has a model SV-3 that is 640x480 color for $1000. I think it's either 6 or 8 bit color, but uses only 1W of power. It just clips on a pair of regular glasses frames. I think that's the general run down.
