downloading keymaps to twiddler2

I'm assuming from the lack of responses to my original question there
are no alternatives to the Win98 application provided by HandyKey.

I've read the documentation on programming the twiddler and it doesn't
appear that it would be very difficult to write an app to do so under
Linux. Are there any people on this list who would use such a thing?
