:cardbus module (yet to purchase) :http://www.advantech.com/estore/products/model.asp?Category_ID=1-9B19R&ct=EC :$152 I found this on e-bay for about $30, so look around... you shouldn't have to spend $150 on it. : :Display: Micro-optical SV3 :http://www.microopticalcorp.com/products.html :$999 : I would suggest taking a twiddler before the SV3 (though I lust for this display). Try the M1 RS170 from tekgear. It hangs on the front of a pair of glasses. It may be monochrome, 320x240, but you save a lot of money (I think its $650). Of course if you're willing to work with a little hardware, the rs170 kit is even cheaper (and ultimately more covert). :Storage: As much flash as I can afford (probably 512mb). I will mostly run :off of this because a HD is too fragile. What happens the first time I :have to run while I am wearing it? : I have no experience with compact flash, but they are reported to have limited writes, which would be a problem for running a microdrive as your primary disk. :I do however have a 30G laptop drive that I will use on special occasions :when I need more storage. : Laptop harddrives may be more durable then you think... and how often will you run wearing your wearable? :http://store.yahoo.com/grandtec/minivikusb.html :got it for $26 off ebay These are really cool.... I want one :) Just my two cents... -- Subscription/unsubscription/info requests: send e-mail with subject of "subscribe", "unsubscribe", or "info" toWear-Hard Mailing List Archive (searchable): http://wearables.blu.org Please, *PLEASE* don't subscribe through a forward/expander/false domain
