I was looking up reviews on my onboard video for a mainboard I own when I se=
e=20
this ad come up at the top of the site. It was for some new fangled company=20
called EyeTop and they are seemingly trying to mass market HMDs.... this one=
=20
looks like a rip from MicroOptical except for theres no refractice viewer in=
=20
front of the eye and its an LCD with 16bit color, the glasses look bazaar an=
d I=20
would immagine that you'd get alot of looks with them on.... but they do loo=
k=20
cheap for a 16bit color HMD... no word on pixel size

Id still rather go with a SecondSight over this just for reasons of size and=
=20
also input.... but who knows maybe someone can accomplish something with thi=
s?=20

What does everyone here think about the social effects this product might=20
have immediately? Wearable computing has already showed up in major media ou=
tlets=20
but what will the impact mean for the HMD market if these cheap units take=20
off? Is it possible the big corporations could get into the industry and sta=
rt=20
offering less expensive color hmds than what wev'e seen so far(if theres a=20
interest)?
Do you think 'the guy who has everything' can really push a company into=20
marketing vga/xga compliant hmds in the near future? Does anyone else think=20=
this=20
is going to be as big a flop as ordering eggs online?

"Eyetop=E2=84=A2 has an automatic NTSC/PAL recognition. " so you know its go=
t RCA=20
input

eyetop.net is the site

eyetop.com is some bifocals named Daedong or some such
