It was for some new fangled company=20 called EyeTop and they are seemingly trying to mass market HMDs.... this one= =20 looks like a rip from MicroOptical except for theres no refractice viewer in= =20 front of the eye and its an LCD with 16bit color, the glasses look bazaar an= d I=20 would immagine that you'd get alot of looks with them on.... but they do loo= k=20 cheap for a 16bit color HMD... no word on pixel size Id still rather go with a SecondSight over this just for reasons of size and= =20 also input.... but who knows maybe someone can accomplish something with thi= s?=20 What does everyone here think about the social effects this product might=20 have immediately? Wearable computing has already showed up in major media ou= tlets=20 but what will the impact mean for the HMD market if these cheap units take=20 off? Is it possible the big corporations could get into the industry and sta= rt=20 offering less expensive color hmds than what wev'e seen so far(if theres a=20 interest)? Do you think 'the guy who has everything' can really push a company into=20 marketing vga/xga compliant hmds in the near future?
