As I recall, they used 5 volts and output NTSC. Supercircuits now sells them ready to go and I think they are color. Good luck, Andy Ewan Sinclair <> wrote: I've decided to try and make an old video camera viewfinder work as an HMD. Not knowing if I'll be able to find a scrapped one, I may just buy one through my local repair shop. The thing is, they can order hundreds of different ones, and I've no idea which would be my best bet. Does anyone here have experience with viewfinders from specific cameras? I know that some can handle a straight NTSC signal, which would be ideal. Also, has anyone managed to get the newer LCD based viewfinders (Either from video or digital still cameras, some of which now have LCD viewfinders) working as HMDs, or are the signals they require too wacky? Recommendations for viewfinders from specific camera models, would be very helpful, as well as warnings against difficult ones!
