Hi Charles

The connectors are proprietary but they carry basic VGA signals (analog
RGB+H/Vsync) just packed in a small size package
to include power (+5v, +15v) and audio (headphone/mic).

I have the wiring schematics for the connector so getting it hooked to a VGA
is not a problem since I have the complementary
female connector that can be used on an let's say an adapter board (you
still need to supply power). Getting power could be done
from USB via a DC:DC converter IC such as LTC1872 which is pretty cheap and
available.
