> Why did Charmed nix wearables? Badges like this are also expensive; > isn't there a better business proposition for having passive RFID tags > in badges, and then getting a list of people you're compatible with > based on their registration information and vendors they've shown > interest in (because you sold all the vendors RFID readers which all > feed back into a central database) made available to you for a fee, > in near-real-time, either on the web or beamed to your cell phone or PDA? I think the bigger underlying issue is Privacy. Even though you are in a public venue, do you really want a vendor knowing when you went to their booth, how long you stayed, if you returned, who was in the booth with you, etc...? With current badge based systems, if you badge is facing outward, you can provide your personal information to anyone who cares to look. By simply flipping the badge over, a request must be made in order to get the data. Simple, low cost, easy to implement. -Tony _______________________________________________ Wear-Hard mailing listhttp://www.haven.org/mailman/listinfo/wear-hard
