Trying to improve the infantry's kit is like trying to improve a
bicycle.  It's hard because they're already so highly evolved.
Everything that's there is there for a reason and everything that's not
there is not there for a reason.  Usually that reason is insufficient
utility/weight ratio.

Whatever happened to Land Warrior anyway.  Googling just seems to
produce years-old vendor/program puffery even with the "last 3 months"
flag.
