If you don't mind my saying so you guys are really stretching what passive means. It used to mean, more or less, "contains no transistors or integrated circuits." In this thread it seems to mean doesn't plug into the mains. USB and PS/2 are very different. Those converters, no matter how small, have got to have some sort of microcontroller inside. Craig M.
