i-glasses SVGA hacking

From: <>
Date: Wed, 20 Jul 2005 15:00:17

I see that the i-glasses SVGA now runs $999. It is using a brilliancorp lcos
display at 800x600 true pixels. Is it possible to hack this display into a unit
similar to Don Papp's Monocular sunglasses?

Details on I-glasses SVGA: http://www.i-glassesstore.com/iglassessvga3d.html
Details on the Display: http://www.brilliancorp.com/PDF/N2E/Z86D-3_BR_E3.pdf
What I want to turn it into: http://www.aeinnovations.com/projects/ver1/

Anyone want to buy the other ZX86D-3 if I do manage to do this?

Info on brilliancorp LCOS parts pricing:
Developer Kit (goes from SVID/Composite In to the display) $2500
Developer Kit with controller software $6000
Z86D-3 800x600 Display $400 each, $360 in quantities of 10
Illumination Controller $18 each
ASIC $64 each
FPGA $64 each

I was asked not to release these prices over the phone, so pretend like you dont
know them if you call.

How to buy: 1-602-389-8888
asked to be transferred to colorado corporate office extension 40 (Rainer Coon)
