RE: i-glasses SVGA hacking

Three words stand in your way:

Optics, optics, optics.

Don's devices used a transmissive display which, in turn, made the optical
solution much easier.

With a reflective display, the illuminator is in the front of the screen and
light is reflected off of it. The optics have to be placed in-line of the
reflected light. This makes the optical solution much more difficult and
alignment is much more critical.

The Brillian LCOS is a great display for OEM's - hacking is another story.

Why not get an eMagin Color SVGA+ OLED

And a driver board? The optical solution for this emissive display is as
easy, if not easier, than the Kopin.
