The BL-521,BL-819/830 are serial cable replacements.  If you have an
existing cabled serial connection, you can swap out the cable for 2
bluetooth modules, one on each end, and you are off to the races.

The BISM is a different beast.  You cannot just give it a RS232 signal; you
need to convert it to ttl levels via a MAX232 or the like.
