Hello, on the PC (or PDA) side - if you are using Linux - you will use the input subsystem to feed input from whereever you want: http://www.iptel-now.de/HOWTO/INPUT_DECOMPOSED/input_decomposed.html Meanwhile you would use the generic event device (you just feed keycodes there). There is a lot of reference code for doing so. You will probably just use a USB BT stick (even though another BISM connected to the PC via a MAX232 is (a more expensive) option too. On the twiddler side - you may use a small ATMEL uController to do the PS/2 to serial conversion. The ATMEL (e.g. 2313 can directly drive the BISM, since it uses 5V or 3.3V logic): http://www.iptel-now.de/HOWTO/PS2SER/ps2ser.html Your setup will probably be like that: Linux application space Input subsystem (/dev/input?) <= /dev/ttyUSB? (serial port via BT) Bluez Bluetooth stack (part of the Linux kernel) PC - USB BT adapter (using RFCOMM for "serial link" to BISM) | wireless link | BISM | ATMEL 2313 for serial port <= PS/2 Twiddler 2 with PS/2 port or Twiddler 1 with serial port (no need for the 2313 in this case) I've actually done all these things. An overview of this and related things is here: http://www.iptel-now.de/HOWTO/WEAR_TOP/wear_top.html I hope to find more time for wearable computing work these days again. best regards Ralf On Mon, 25 Jul 2005, Craig M.
