The aim of the JDP is to create prototype garments and fashion accessories with portable, wearable power-generation capabilities, Konarka (Lowell, Mass.) said. The items would utilize Konarka's light-activated Power Plastic to provide renewable, wearable energy sources for personal electronic devices. “Textronics' technologies will allow for the end product to have a soft textile-like feel while Konarka's materials will provide the renewable power,” said Stacey Burr, chief executive officer of Textonics (Wilmington, Delaware), in a statement. --end-snip-- -- E-mail:WWW: http://www.plumb.org/tekmage/ Photos: http://www.flickr.com/photos/aplumb/ Think: http://clothbot.blogspot.com/ Victory!
