Well this is the smallest bluetooth "wireless serial cable" I could find.
http://www.free2move.se/prod_spp.htm
Then if connecting a serial to IrDA device like this:
http://www.expansys.se/product.asp?code=3DIR220L
Then that would look like a normal IrDA connection to both the Fossil
and computer wouldn=B4t it. (Those modules might have some powerissues
between them but except that)
but the size of bluetooth+irda modules+extra batteries.........

Another way might be that hack I heard about that rotates the
palmscreen and wearing the Fossil with upside down so the IR would be
easy to direct towards a bodyworn ir-module. Good for syncing but I
doubt it would work with VNC.

Is there even a VNC-server for PalmOS? I couldn=B4t find one. I would
like to do remote control both ways.
http://www.pebbles.hcii.cmu.edu/ seems to be the only way to
remotecontrol the palm.
