I had gathered that most of the low-end palm stuff still essen= tially thought of itself as interfacing via serial (the USB cables were ess= entially usb>serial). I could very-well be totally wrong about this, but t= here seemed to be an awful lot of interfacing between homebrew hardware and= various pal connectors. >=20 > When I first head that these were actually going to be released, my first= though was that someone would be hacking an interface to a Twiddler or oth= er one-hand keyboard pretty quick. I checked out the Dragonball VZ at Freescales site, it doesn=B4t have USB but it does have two UARTs. But I think your thinking about usb-cables for earlier palms which had a custom connector. Maybe could be possible replace the IR with Bluetooth or hooking up the the Bluetooth-to-RS-232 directly to the Dragonball but then it would need software. Does anyone remember those old IR-Networkswas around before wifi took off? Those could cover a whole room, the signal bounced of the walls(colour made a big differnce ofcourse). Maybe its possible to modify a IRDA adapter to work like that with better ir-diodes? _______________________________________________ Wear-Hard mailing list
