> Has anyone experience with the eMaginSVGA+ Color OLED=20 > development board? http://www.tekgear.com/product.cfm?sku=3D0359 Yes.... > Can I hide the driver board somewhere and put only the > display in my glasses? (i.e. is long driver cable available?) No. The dev board is used for investigation and system development = only. You cannot use it for creating a prototype headset. Please download the = user manual at http://www.tekgear.com/documentation/manual/0359_manual.pdf = for more info. Once you get the dev board, the next step is to determine what = components will need up at the head and what you can more down into a belt pack or connector cluster. Here is where you would get new boards to build into = a head set. This way you get a custom solution, (form, fit and function) = that will work for your application and not have to make your application = work for an existing display solution. > This seems from what I can see an excellent display. It is extremely versatile and very easy on the eyes. > If I understand right it is lighted from the back, is this=20 > correct.=20 Incorrect. It self emits. It is a Lambertian light source. > This means I should be able t make a very compact=20 > solution, compared to a display which is lighted from the=20 > front, like the Microdisplay displays in e.g. the Dayeang set. This statement is correct. The optical solution is much simpler with = the eMagin OLED than with a front lit LCoS. -Tony _______________________________________________ Wear-Hard mailing listhttp://www.haven.org/mailman/listinfo/wear-hard
