Yes....

No.  The dev board is used for investigation and system development =
only.
You cannot use it for creating a prototype headset. Please download the =
user

Once you get the dev board, the next step is to determine what =
components
will need up at the head and what you can more down into a belt pack or
connector cluster.  Here is where you would get new boards to build into =
a
head set.  This way you get a custom solution, (form, fit and function) =
that
will work for your application and not have to make your application =
work
for an existing display solution.

It is extremely versatile and very easy on the eyes.

Incorrect.  It self emits.  It is a Lambertian light source.

This statement is correct.  The optical solution is much simpler with =
the
eMagin OLED than with a front lit LCoS.
