Yes, it is possible. One of Mann's EyeTap setups has both the camera and aremac remote with fiber optic on both going up to the splitter in front of the eye. Very small, the fiber is in the eyeglass frame. I looked into this a little, the best commercial possibilities I could find were surveilance/police/mechanic fiber scopes.
