*Q: *How do I enable 640 x 480 resolution in Windows XP?*A: *Microsoft(r)
Windows(r) XP does not have the 640 =D7 480 screen resolution available in =
the
Display Settings dialog box by default. There is a way to enable 640 =D7 48=
0
in Windows XP for older games and applications that need 640 =D7 480 screen
resolution.
Use the following steps to enable 640 =D7 480 in Windows XP.
1. From the *Start* menu, click *Control Panel*.
2. Click *Appearances and Themes*.
3. Click *Display*.
4. Click the *Settings* tab.
5. Click *Advanced*.
6. Click the *Adapter* tab.
7. Click *List All Modes*.
8. Select *640 by 480, 256 Colors, 70 Hertz*.
9. Click *OK*.
10. Click *OK*.
11. Click *Yes* to retain the setting.
12. Click *OK*.
13. From the *File* menu, clcik *Close* to exit *Appearances and
Themes*.
14. This enables 640 =D7 480 screen resolution permanently.
