Silicon Valley Homebrew Mobile Phone Club

From: Vitorio Miliano <>

In the vein of the original Homebrew Computer Club, a few intrepid folks
have taken the future of the phone into their own hands and are starting
the Homebrew Mobile Phone Club, using hardware like the Telit GM862 to
make their own cellphones.

Original article that spawned this particular event:

Followup article:

Announcement of the club and mailing list (open to people outside of
California as well, of course):

They also link to Surj Patel and others who are already in the space
using Gumstix and the Telit module.

Thanks,
Vitorio Miliano
