Re: ISWC06 Call for Papers

Why?
Why have an april 21/24 submission deadline for an event in OCtober 11th?
sure one could argue time required to review submissions, however a blind
man with one hand could review the average ISWC submissions in a week
easy.

I think there needs to be a revisions, for Students at least, in general
i'd like the submission deadline extended until 2 months prior to event.
Computing technology changes so fast an energy efficient platform today
some five months prior to a wearable computing convention, is old when
come to show time.

Are submission deadlines, following some rule of IEEE? if not mind
giving a bit of elaboration as to why such short deadlines???

As a list subscriber for a few years i've often wondered at such early
submission deadlines, if five months are required to review a students or
anybodys submission, then what are the specific examination principals
and practices.

i'll probably visit your convention, mostly to see some work of my defense
spending, still since i'm a student currently and another student asked me
the same question, i feel obligated to pass on the above.

Best Regards,
