Hi one and all, I recently started a website, hosting something I'm calling the Open Wearable Project. It seeks to provide an open and free repository of information relating to the design and build of wearable technology. It is an attempt to give back to the open source community that kept me in operating systems and software these past 9 years, as well as scratch my wearable itch. I've put what I feel to be an adequate framework in place for the project roots - the site runs on the Joomla CMS and has a fair amount of bandwidth and storage [something like 250 GB a month and 50 GB respectively], plus 2500 email accounts, a handful of MySQL databases and other potentially useful bits and pieces. But I'm just one person and it needs so much more than little old me. It's all in its infancy and I'm hoping others may want to get involved at this early stage and help the project become something far greater. Any and all participation, from administration to content to feedback and suggestions, will be gratefully received. Cheers, Dom. -- Open Wearable Project A public collaboration to design and build open architecture, wearable technology platforms.
