Hey all,

I'm really trying to get more DIY stuff on igargoyle because it's clear that
the world of wearables is just so inaccessable by many due to the complexity
and costs involved. I just found a really cheap project done by Alex
"ninjaspidermonkey", that uses a $14 digital camera to make an eyetap, and I
am just blown away at how accessible it is compared to everything else out
there. Sure it's not the greatest eyetap ever built, but pretty much anyone
with half a mind can do it.

If you have any other projects out there that are similar to this in terms
of DIY wearables, please let me know. I'd really like to get more people
into this stuff since the only people I really know who have wearable
computers are in the educational or military sector.

In addition, I'd really like to get some feedback from people on Head
Mounted Displays since it's so hard for me to review these. I just talked to
Isa Gorden of the CyberFashion show, and she said she couldn't even get a
microptical on loan for her show!

Thanks,
nym
