How hard would it be to hack the binocular one to make it monocular? Would it just be better to spend a little more for the monocular model?

Tekgear has the monocle for $799

http://www.sharperimage.com/us/en/catalog/product/sku__II510
Sharper Image is supposedly the exclusive on the binocular one, which, with what one would think is more market penetration and thus selling for $399 for two eyes.

(probably not that simple) Of course it just has to send video to two displays instead of one, so not that much more complicated, and the displays are usually cheap, it is the R&D and hardware drivers that really cost.

Have any of you ever used the Icuiti M920-Video. Once I can afford to start building a wearable I am thinking of going with that for the HMD due primarily to low cost. I also like the fact that it runs off AA's and has the option of a USB power cable.
