As someone that has an SV-6 the issue is still price ironically; 640x480 isn't good enough for a great many applications and to get higher res gets even more expensive. Watching TV is one thing, but honestly, even my backed up VCR tapes are at 640x480, and of course now 1920x1200 is coming in high def discs... But forget TV, just try to do video orbits perspecive mapped text onto a surface in a eyetap setup with text at a normal font size... you need way more than 640x480 and way more than 100dpi to get something near usable in that scenario. (notice how big the font is in Mann's example video.
