Alright, I don't know much about this, but I do know that it's significant... Or, rather, I think it is. It seems like us wearable computing people may get another technological leap in the business, or at least something close too it. Is it just me, or do most commerical small-form-factor computing units tend to be underpowered and expensive for what it can do? My friend has created an ETX/XTX base board that we believe to be the smallest ever created. Size: 3.8"x4.8"x11mm ETX/XTX I/O options: (quoted directly from him) Video options: VGA jili-40 lvds svideo composite I/O 2x internal usb (not wired to a connector) 2x external usb onboard 2.5" IDE Power: power button ide activity led 5vdc input Audio: mic line in line out He currently has about 6 boards of the first run produced. He hand wired everything onto a 2 layer board, and kind of messed up on the VGA output, so he temporarily rewired that. The next run of boards should be cleared up quite nicely. A few minutes ago he just told me that it POSTs and a USB keyboard works quite well. I'll keep the list updated with pictures and results if anyone is interested. As I know next to nothing about this form factor, all questions will be forwarded to him, and hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to go over to his house and see the results. _______________________________________________ Wear-Hard mailing listhttp://www.haven.org/mailman/listinfo/wear-hard
