Are other usb keyboards recognized?  If so, you may well be right.  
You should be able to use lsusb to get the info you need. What does it
report?

Have a look at http://www.linux-usb.org/ if you need info on how to
add it in once you get the data.  Also, please send them what you find
to add to http://www.linux-usb.org/usb.ids
