I've seen those. They display something like 5-10 characters, and scroll it by so you can read it. It's better bandwidth than an LED blinking morse code, but not by much. I've used the headset for the WP spy video car and the WP night vision headset. The night vision headset has been discontinued, and made for a bilious green view of the world. Interestingly, the WP site has just the spy video car headset (no car or remote) available for $20, which is a great price for a wearable display. The headset accepts NTSC video, and is a 320x240 black and white display. There is a reasonable amount of space inside the case for a camera, so you can make an eyetap out of it. I got a tiny USB webcam meant for use with a laptop, and with the camera case removed, it just fits. The display is a Kopin Cyberdisplay. I'm not looking at mine now, but I think the driver chip is the standard Motorola one. The backlight is white, so the image is black and white, not black and green. The part number is WPT70133-HEAD on the wild planet web site. You can order it here: http://www.shopwildplanet.com/prod/WPT70133-HEAD.html _______________________________________________ Wear-Hard mailing listhttp://www.haven.org/mailman/listinfo/wear-hard
