I've often considered rebuilding a headset (these Vonia ones have felt or something lining them, and you really want a smooth surface) just so I can glue it behind my ear, like a hearing aid might sit. Adds the extra step when you're getting dressed in the morning, of course, but no worse than applying fake eyelashes with eyelash glue or a toupee with double-faced tape.
